Dulan’s on Crenshaw has been serving up delicious, traditional, soul food in a cafeteria-style dining or catering experience in Los Angeles since 1943. Founder, Adolf Dulan, the self-proclaimed “King of Soul Food”, created a food legacy in Los Angeles that is well known for its warm southern hospitality, huge portions, and made-from-scratch soul food.  It will remind you of Sunday dinner at grandma’s -- full of great food, family, and laughter.  In 2023, Adolf's son, Greg Dulan ushered in a newly designed Dulan's on Crenshaw with a completely renovated look and added sit-down dining in the Crenshaw District.  We may look different, but we are still serving up our world famous soul food and we need you to serve up the hospitality!

Food Production Cook

•Able to large batches- catering style

•Preps raw food in preparation for cooking

•Prepares enough food for the restaurant daily service

•Prepares food for catering orders. 

•Keeps station clean throughout the day/open kitchen concept

•Restocks food

•Follows food safety rules

Prep Cook

•Preps, cuts, and dices raw foods for food production

• Preferred catering experience

•Preps and seasons meats in preparation for cooking

•Helps to maintain a clean and organized kitchen

•Keeps walk-in refrigerators organized each day

•Take temperatures and labels food

•Makes pasta, rice, gravies

•Makes desserts

•Follows food safety rules

 


Line Server/ Expeditor

•Ensures portions and foods prepared accurately to Dulan’s standards and guest orders​

•Sets up the line for food service

•Delivers food and only gives a quality product to the customer 

•Cleans service line

•Stocks service line

•Communicates food restocking needs to cook

•Follows all food safety rules


Cashier

•Greets the guests

•Tells them about the menu

•Enters their orders into the POS

•Ensures order accuracy

•Makes sure all items are charged for

•Cleans work area

•Stocks work area

•Keeps the entry way and cashier area clean

•Follows all food safety rules

 

Dishwasher           

•Washes all pots and heavy-duty pans

•Washes all dishes and glassware

•Maintains the sanitation of the dish room and kitchen

•Keeps the rest rooms clean

•Takes out trash

•Cleans the exterior of the restaurant

•Stocks clean dishware

•Mops floors
